Our Home

In August of 2011, Grant and I purchased our first home. This first home is definitely an investment for us, and not our permanent nest.

For any of you that have purchased a home (one, or many) you know what a grueling and emotional process it is, especially in this current market. After looking at what felt like 1,000 homes, we made an offer on a recently flipped New Englander. We ended up walking away from this beautiful (and FINISHED!) property after a home inspection. That was when we stumbled upon our current dwelling.

When I walked in, I thought- "Character, but too much work." I didn't want to do work, I wanted to walk in, put down our furniture and relax. My husband eventually swayed me, and we started the buying process. Immediately, we spent a whole week on initial renovations, a.k.a- Things Christa can't live with (like the bathroom and kitchen.) We only had so much disposable income left, so we did what we could at first, and are slowly completing more projects.
